Care and Cleaning

Clean your floorcloth regularly to avoid any build-up of dirt, especially if your cloth is in a high traffic area.  Begin by sweeping or vacuuming the floorcloth.  Take care if vacuuming so as not to damage the edges of the cloth.  Remember to clean beneath the floorcloth from time to time as well. Clean the floorcloth with a damp soapy sponge or mop.

Do not use abrasive cleansers on your floorcloth.  For particularly dirty areas, apply a touch more soap to the affected area.  Mild dish soap works very well.  Rinse the floorcloth well and wipe it dry with a soft cloth or towel.  That’s it!

With proper care, your floorcloth will provide you with years of pleasure and beauty.  After six or more years, you might wish to give your floorcloth a "facelift" by applying a fresh coat of water-based polyurethane sealer.  To do this, you simply clean and dry the floorcloth (as described above) and apply a coat of sealer according to the directions on the sealer product label.  Let the sealer cure and your floorcloth will look brand new once more.
